Title: 16M for Ducati 996 with twin injectors
Post by YaBB Administrator on 06/12/15 at 05:41:43
This map comes courtesy of Peter in Brisbane.
Pete often helps new MyECU users in his area for me .

He writes

"From 2500 rpm to redline this thing pulls like an under 16 football team at a strip club for the first time with no hesitation or lag anywhere (except 6th gear, but it is so over geared it’s not funny, in 6th it goes hard from 3000 rpm). Power wheelies no problem at all. This thing will now make you want to throw your licence away before the Police do it for you."

Pete has a good way with words.

Sorry, that's all I have for this topic.

Thank you Cliff for posting this. We have done a little more finer tuning to clean up the bottom end a little tad, please see attached update. (I have also removed the retardation in the std. advance curve from 3k to 4k to make it more linear)
Please bare in mind when I have made these, please remember to close the air bleeds fully. As cliff's ECU gives full adjustability, there is no need to even have these for idle correction. I do the throttle body balancing at 4000 RPM. If you balance the throttle bodies at idle it tends to be out in the higher rpm but as we ride in this range my belief is this is where it should be balanced.
Since working on my good friends 996 (he gave it to me for 10 days, pure heaven) I have succumbed to the sirens song and bought one. This means I will be perfecting this further and as Guzzisti people in SE Queensland know, if I come across an improvement, I will let it be known.
I am currently building a small Test Bed for Air/Ratios using some rollers (filled with oil to give a small resistance) mounted to my bike bench and portable Wide Band Sensor and Accusation Software (sort of a Dyno but just for A/F readings only). This along with Cliff's ECU should be able to give me near spot on mapping for real world applications so I will post updated maps for both the Guzzi 1100 Sport and Ducati 996S, watch this space.
Regards, Peter

Interesting information, will be following closely the progress..

I've been lazy, haven't gotten anywhere with my own MyP8..

Really need to activate myself on this.

Keep in mind this map is for the My16M. You will need to do a cut and past to keep your MyP8 configuration related lines. These are at the top of the file.

Yes.

Was going to take the injection durations, advances and what not only from this one.

Hello, I'am an italian Ducati 996 owner and I'm very intested in this topic!

Hi everyone, I'm new to both the MyECU and forum and have been fiddling with my 996 utilizing the updated 996 Twin Injector map found in this thread.

The bike seems to start and run fine, but quick throttle blips or downshifts while decelerating seem to make it die.  My plugs are gapped at .024 and have been replaced a few years back.  The plug wires are original so I am wondering if those should be replaced.

Contact Cliff, he'll sort you.
Mine did a similar thing initially.
