Does anyone have ideas to share for making the Optimiser weather proof?
I've found buttons (ITW series 59, IP67) of infinitely higher quality than the originals, but they seem to be a very tight fit in the casing. Also, the casing itself is not precisely weather proof and I've yet to find a good one of correct dimensions.
I haven't found any good potentiometers. And I thought I could find some display front that would seal from water, but I found none.
When I opened the case for investigating how to fit my new buttons, I could confirm there is corrosion on the PCB, witnessing there has been some water inside the case even though I don't have it mounted in rain, driving or not.
There is another aspect too, even though it is second priority, and that is looks. I don't need the Optimiser to look like a propeller head toy. People think I'm nuts as it is
Any good ideas welcome!
