PCB ground to chassie?

Does the PCB circuit have to be grounded to the P8 chassie?

Just thinking, if not so, I would fix some fiber washers to isolate PCB a bit more to diminish vibrations.

Maybe you could put a thin copper strip in a soft bend connecting both sides of that washer? Or something like that, you get the picture.

Maybe I should be clearer:

I left out putting protective laquer around the holes f screws cause I think I read somewhere the PCP should be grounded to the chassie.
If that is not needed, I could put f e fiber washer between PCP & chassis to eliminate a bit of vibrations that might hurt the ECU.

I believe it is not necessary to ground the case. It is more a redundancy. The ground though the harness should be sufficient.

I did have a user touch the case against the 12V and this broke some tracks to ground. Only reason it worked was because of the case ground.
