Just curious what others have done w connections like O2 sensor, built-in RS-232 etc.
Pics is always nice & instructive!

I bought waterproof switches for the Optimizer but it will be a challenge putting it together because they are almost too large to fit the casing (I found a new case of the exact same model but I failed to find a larger one that was not too large). Maybe next winter. Whenever I manage to put it together I'll post some pics.

greenmonster, do you know what type of injectors I could use if I want larger ones? I have IW031 Green, 270cc/min but running on E85 I will need 350 cc/min or so. Naturally I would like them to be plug'n'play (mechanically).

Sorry, no, only know 2 options:

1. TB`s w 2 IW 031 on each (what my friend w the 1026 E85 have).
2. Higher fuel pressure. Do you have pressure regulator in tank o or outside of it?

It's mounted externally to the tank like a fuel tap. At first I thought that would be a cheap option but they cost a lot. New injectors will cost even more of course, unless I can find a model that would fit and rip it off a used car or something.

I got one of this for my monster.

Did not try it yet as I am still in the middle of some more upgrades.

Maybe this one but it sounds to cheap to be any good.

Have you thought of modding your own?
FBF once sold such a kit. I think the idea was to cut off the lower part of the regulator and instead add some "screw-mechanism" to allow a certain variation of valve spring preload.

BTW, is it really necessary to rise the pressure? Even with open Mistrals I ran into timing problems above 8000 only and only together with rather rich ARF settings.

If you only want a bit higher pressure you can squize the regualator in a vise to increase the pressure.

Time will tell. My goal with E85 is tuning for power, and from what I've read I might have to add up to 40% of fuel. If this is true at WOT, I will exceed 90% duty cycle at 6500 rpm or so unless I raise pressure and/or mount larger injectors.

I'm planning to try it as-is and see how it reacts. It's not like you cruise for hours at 7500 rpm so I'm not worried about damages, just how it will react to the fuel starvation. From what Jocke told us earlier, maybe it will work fine.

Please tell more! What ECU is it running? How much power increase was there? What A/F or Lambdas is it running at good power output?

AFAIK My8. It has just been successfully started and not more but it is running. And guess what.

Kickbacks Sad
