MyECU Lives!
12/30/15 at 12:35:50

Just this week I mentioned the advantages of MyECU in two forums:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/MG_750/info

http://www.guzzitech.com/forums/forums/v7-v9.215/

Just keeping the system going.

Thanks for that Joe. Keep spreading the word. That's the only way they'll find out about MyECU.

They probably won't appreciate it on Guzzitech. They've shown no interest at all in MyECU over the years. More interested in pushing the Powercommander and reflashing the OEM ECU. Admittedly flashing the OEM ECU would be a good money spinner.

That new product is a bit of a laugh, no pictures of it working, costs as much as a MyECU and a few "take my money" posts. They sound more like Ducati riders rather than Guzzi riders.
I think a mobile phone app and some interface dongle would be better way to go.

Speaking of Ducati,  a local rider recently brought his 1991 Ducati Paso 907 here and I fitted the miniMyP8. After he rode home with my Cali 1100 map he was saying how it had never run better, even after trying some third party chips. It's results like that which keep me making the MyECU.

Also a Ducati motorcycle shop in CA recently bought a My16M. Hopefully some more units going there in future.

You might even consider pinging Ferrari restorers... late 80's and 90's injected Ferrari's use to use 2 x P7's from memory.

It looks like they're trying to flog these - http://www.rexxer.com/eco-tuning-buy--store .

I wonder what the $3000 map editor software does.

All up it doesn't look like it even does half what the MyECu can do.

Yep, Guzzitech has a commercial angle that's frustrating.  Since the website is run by a Guzzi shop, it's understandable.  But they are still heavy handed about it and it makes the site frustrating.

The Guzzitech owner warned me in the past that if I post anymore links to other websites I'll be banned.  Oh joy.
