Ducati 916 with full 50mm Termingnoni map needed

I had a slip-on and the bike was running perfect. Then, I swapped it to a full 50mm pipe from the 45mm OEM and the bike has a flat spot between 4k and 5k rpm range. It feels like if it isn't getting enough fuel.

If anyone has a working map for this model Ducati 916 1998 please or suggest what lines to edit on the map.
Thanks,
Alfredo

I would do all throttle rows (a column) for the rpm range mentioned. Try 10% within the range and 5% on the shoulder.
Create two maps, one richer and one leaner and compare.

Hello All,
Anyone could tell me what editor to use to edit the ecu without changing its .ecu format and what do change to make the motorcycle run richer across, just like the screw adjuster found in the 16M ecu?

Also,  I'm using the Andriod Optimiser v1.1 running on a Samsung Pad 3 and it seems like the app is not recording all the data from a 30min ride but only about the first 2-3 minutes. According to the log file, the Bluetooth connection with the ecu gets lost.

Here is the ecu map file I'm using.

Thanks for any information anyone has on Ducatis 916,
Ab

Please either PM me or create a thread but don't do both.

Some things are best answered by google. I searched for "notepad adds .txt" and found many suitable answers.

Making the map richer is best done with the Optimiser app.
Have you read the Optimiser manual - http://www.myecu.biz/MyECU/AndroidOptimiser/AndroidOptimiser.pdf
What you want to do is adjust all cells and increase the injector duration - pages 9 and 10.

Does the disconnect coincide with the screen going blank or some other event? How is the BT dongle mounted?
None of my 3 different devices drops the connection unexpectedly and I usually turn off the display with the power button while riding.

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for the information.
I'm duplicating the file ecu and editing that new file so I only need to save and not save as which is the reason why the ECU format was being lost.

I read the Optimizer manual and in my Optimizer, the main page has green dot. I don't have Lambda sensors and the suggestions are not displayed as shown on page 9 under Cell Selection. I don't have any suggestions to select or accept.

I'll ride tomorrow morning and make the map richer with the injection duration.

From the log:
"""
TimingInfo RPM 1948, InjDur 4448us, MapXY (2.9,3.0)
=G0AF703F040F5036011E90480
CompInfo AirP 1015mb, InjDur 4448us, InjVAdv 1257us, CylOffs 1013, Baro 101.5%
03:18:42- disconnected bt socket closed, read return: -1
03:18:42- setState() 3 -> 0
03:18:42- OptimiserActivity - MESSAGE_STATE_CHANGE: 0
03:18:42- Toast - Device connection was lost
"""

My Samsung pad is using Android version 4.2.2 but I don't know if the Optimiser is specific to a version of Android.

I'm turning off the display with the power button too. When I stopped and I get the Pad out of my backpack, the Optimiser seems to be running and reading the RMP and Throttle. The BT dongle is plugged inside the ECU and coiled around the wiring harness to prevent from falling off.

See my attached picture of my Optimizer screen after the ride.
Thank you again for all your help and I'm sorry for all the trouble,
Ab

You only get suggestions when you are running closed loop. You will have to manually select the cells you are interesting in.

From the manual

The Select all button will select all the cells and
then change itself to become Deselect button which
can be used to clear all selections.
Cells are selected or deselected by pressing them in
the grid but this can be done in a number of ways
according to Sel Mode.
The default is Toggle where the selection is a click
on click off. Clicking Sel mode can be used to
change to Select or Deselect. These are convenient
ways to select a region of the map. For instance you
can select the entire top half of the map but painting
with your

it seems to have an error at the end. It should finish with "by painting with your finger over the top of the map until it is completely selected"
