Dear,
I'm looking for some help to start with the MYECU16M , i explain, my friend from north ouest of France Pierre , bought this ECU a couple of years ago for his 1100 SPORT CORSA, but never try to use it , today after a failed of his original ECU he ask me to program the ECU.
I'm more confident with the original one because i made my EEPROM on my Daytona RS and Centauro.

So i have a couple of question to how use this ECU :

can i use the standard cable to program the ECU ? i mean the obd standard plug on the bike ?
where i can find the program to do it ? I guess Pierre receive an program when he bought the ECU so i could ask him but for sur a new version came ?

thank's !

Mathieu from France  Wink

It's disappointing to hear the MyECU went unused.

MyECU has its own way of doing things, arguably better than the other methods you've used before.
Pierre should have received a cable or dongle to talk the the ECU and a program. Possibly also an initial map although this can be obtained from the ECU.

I checked my emails and Pierre's My16M is quite early, from 2007. You will probably require a PC with a serial port as I don't think I was shipping USB dongles back then.

You could also just try and run with the ECU as it should of had the map from my Sport Corsa.

Regards
Cliff

Hi Cliff,

you right pierre bought your ECU in 2007 , unfortunatly , he get nothing more than the ECU .. no cable .. no manual .. no software ..

i don't have the bike with me only the ECU, so my idea was to try it on my Daytona RS or Centauro to learn how to do , and load the map in to verify that's the right one and if not charge the right map for Pierre and send it back ! so i'm intersseting also to get a right 1100 sport map !

so let me know only what i need to do it ? which cable is needed and wich software ?

thank's for you help !

The manual and software are(were) downloads from my site. A cable should have shipped with the ECU but if its gone missing it is quite simple to make one up.
The MyECU uses TTL level (5V) serial for its communication so I suggest getting this or similar https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/ftdi-future-technology-devices-intern....

Depending on the ECU you will also need a RJ45 cable or 5 pin header

Only 3 connections need to be made - Gnd, Rx and Tx.

It would be best to continue via email at ecu000@myecu.biz as I'll probably need to send you some files to assist.

Hi Matheu,

I am actually restarting my efforts getting the Myecu going on two centauro's. Cliff kindly sent me a sport mapping (if i recall correctly this is / was for a 1100 sport model).

I have also been busy with extracting data from the MG original map.

I would like to get in touch to find ways to move my project forward..
